The authors have analyzed the clinical picture of patients with an irregular vaccination history (10 cases) or with a real vaccine breakthrough three months after complete primary vaccination (1). The clinical presentation of TBE patients with an irregular vaccination history did not significantly differ from a control group without any TBE vaccination, although they showed a stronger cerebrospinal fluid immune response.
