The highest number ever recorded in France was reported in 2025 (n=98). Among these, 81 patients acquired the infection within France. Notably, one patient was infected in the Loz\u00e8re department in southern France, representing the first documented autochthonous case in this department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cases occurred in individuals aged 8\u201383 years and were reported between April and December, with a peak in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interpretation of epidemiological trends related to TBE virus infections in France remains challenging.
